October 5th 1985.
For old Blue Jays fans, it was quite a memorable day. Personally, this was also the day that I really started to follow the Blue Jays. I remember I was in a public library at that time sneakily listening to the radio when George Bell knelt down and caught the final out to capture the franchise's first ever American League East Championship and playoff berth.
During the subsequent years, there have certainly been times when I ask myself whether I should continue following them given the many disappointing seasons (save 1992 and 1993 when they won it all) which followed. However, I always got back to rooting for them whenever I think about that fateful day in October that would forever change my life.
